New COBRA reports

Although everyone is slowing down for the Christmas break, it won’t be long before the New Year kicks in and we’ll all be thinking about resolutions and making new starts.
January often sees lots of people starting to work on their business ideas, keen to make a change in the coming months.
A great place to start is with the COBRA database, and this month there are some new reports and updates for start ups and also anyone running a business already.
New Business Opportunity Profiles include:
Greeting Card Maker
Domestic Cleaning Service
Homemade Cake and Biscuit Maker
and Motorcycle Rider Training School!

Amongst the new Business Information Factsheets there are Support for Social Enterprise, A Compliance Guide for the Hair and Beauty Sector, and Government Financial Support for Business.

This is what makes COBRA such a great resource – the diversity of topics and breadth of information is just fantastic. It’s one of the most popular resources available for start ups and every year thousands of reports are viewed across the Ask About Business members.

If you’re a new business starting to plan your enterprise, you’ll find that COBRA can steer you very quickly in the right direction. The Business Opportunity Profiles typically include information about qualifications or skills required (eg Food Hygiene training),  industry awareness and product knowledge, key market issues and trends, legal issues, IP, costs, marketing, health & safety, and trade associations to contact.  They are an invaluable snapshot, helping you decide if that particular business is right for you.
